Greetings people of the internet! My name is Laila and I’ll be providing you all with some
free (or very cheap) things to do in the lovely city of Burlington, Vermont.
I currently am what one would consider a “broke ass college
student,” that is, I have very little money and somehow I’m supposed to make it
stretch to cover food, housing, bills, AND my affinity towards Vermont brewed
beers. It’s not easy, but luckily
Burlington is a restless city that always has something going on-be it a free
concert in the park or one dollar pints until a keg is kicked, you can cure you’re
boredom pretty quickly, and you can usually do it for little to no cost. This blog will give you some tips,
tricks, and advice on how to make the most of your college life (or real
life..whatever that is) on an
almost invisible budget.
Tip number 1: Make friends. It seems pretty elementary to say, but friends make everything
more fun. Most of the time it
doesn’t really matter what you’re doing with your friends, it just matters that
you are doing something together.
The most mundane things can turn into grand adventures if you bring the
right people along. So, go
knock on some random door in the dorms, strike up a conversation with your
barista, or take your cat on a walk-just get out of your normal habitat and go
meet people.
Until next time.

I like the "talk to your barista" idea! What's your favorite java joint in the area to chat up baristas and other patrons?
